Internal Tools Privacy Policy

This privacy policy covers the private software application "ATG Internal Tools" (the "App"), operated by All Truck Gears for its own internal bookkeeping. The App is not offered to, sold to, or made available to the public, and it has no users other than the business owner and authorized staff.

What the App accesses

When connected to a QuickBooks Online company, the App can read and write that company's accounting records — chart of accounts, items and inventory, vendors, customers, bills, invoices, and related transactions. It accesses only companies the owner explicitly connects and authorizes.

The App does not access payroll records, bank login credentials, or payment card data.

Where the data goes

Nowhere. The App runs on a single computer owned by the business. It reads from and writes to QuickBooks Online directly over Intuit's API. There is no server, no hosted database, and no cloud component.

Two things are written to that computer's local disk: the OAuth access and refresh tokens issued by Intuit, and a log of changes the App has made, including a copy of each record as it was before the change so edits can be undone. Both stay on that machine.

What is never done with the data

The data is not sold, rented, licensed, shared, transferred, or disclosed to any third party. It is not used for advertising, analytics, profiling, model training, or any purpose other than maintaining the business's own books. No third-party service providers or subprocessors receive it.

Security

Stored tokens are restricted to the owner's user account with operating-system file permissions. The computer is password-protected and physically controlled by the business. Access to the App is limited to the owner and authorized staff.

Retention and deletion

Tokens are kept only while the connection is in use and are deleted when the App is disconnected. Change logs are retained as accounting records for as long as the business retains its books, and can be deleted on request.
